Royal officials announced that Prince William, Kate Middleton, his wife and his brother, Prince Harry, will be the official ambassadors of the 2012 Olympic Games.
St James Palace has revealed that the three royal faces play an important role in order to "encourage and inspire the British public to rally behind the 900 Olympic and Paralympic athletes" who will compete to represent their country.
They also emphasize the fact that William, Kate and Harry use their role to encourage public awareness of the values provided by the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Note that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, joined the group of 27 athletes who have already made the Olympic Games will also be ambassadors for the 2012 Games.
William said he was honored to be selected and says that his family is eager to follow the Olympics. He says: "London which hosts the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012 will inspire so many people, especially youth, to do their best.”
Recall that the London Olympics will be held from July 27 to August 12, 2012.
