Mel Gibson's behavior since the beginning of his probation has impressed the judge.
Actor Mel Gibson was congratulated by the judge who checked his record as a history of domestic violence yesterday (1 December), when he attended more therapy sessions than what he had been ordered, reports TMZ .
The actor was accused of domestic violence in March by his ex-girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, and had presented a plea of no contest.
He impressed the judge Stephanie Sautner for following two times more therapy sessions for anger management than the court had ordered.
Mel Gibson is now in a period of informal probation.
In March, he was sentenced to attend a therapy program on domestic violence over a period of one year following the incident of violence that took place in January 2010.
The star of 55 years has also faced a protection order preventing him from "threaten or harass anyone involved in this case."
His exemplary behavior since that sentence seems to have impressed the judge responsible for monitoring.
