Lady Gaga visited the White House to discuss a campaign against bullying.
The singer, Lady Gaga has kept her promise made to one of her fans, who committed suicide after years of torment and intimidation, by making a visit to the White House tuesday (December 6), reports E! Online.
Lady Gaga met with leaders of the White House about a campaign against bullying she wants to support with her visibility.
Gaga has unfortunately not met with President Obama, since he was in Kansas to present a speech on the economy.
She would, however, met with the Presidential Adviser Valerie Jarrett, and other team members "to discuss the important issue of bullying" and how to stop it.
Lady Gaga has taken this initiative on behalf of a young boy of 14, Jamey Rodemeyer, who was bullied for years because of their sexual orientation. He eventually committed suicide last September.
After learning the tragic news, Gaga wrote on her Twitter page: "I will meet with our president. I will not cease to fight. It must stop. Our generation has the power to stop it. "
Note that Lady Gaga has established the foundation Born This Way to help young victims of bullying and neglect.
