Singers Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony would negotiate the terms of their separation prior to formally request a divorce, reports FemaleFirst.
The couple would not be eager to make their separation official and would like to settle their divorce amicably.
Lopez and Anthony have announced their separation last July, after seven years of marriage, and could take months to settle the details of their separation and make it official.
A source said: "They work on the terms of an agreement prior to formally request a divorce. They are in no hurry to do so, because they are both agreed on the formal date of separation. Marc and Jennifer have homes, businesses, and are minority owners of the football team the Miami Dolphins. It's complicated, and it might take them a few more months before they agree on the terms of the agreement."
Provide for the two stars make their formal request for divorce in California, and it should be finalized about six months later.
