The former 'EastEnders' was admitted to hospital on January 30 after his vehicle Mini Cooper crashed into a steel barrier at Derby.

Dean has not spoken about the accident, but the TV star Katie Price revealed that her best friend is slowly recovering from the crash.

As reported by the tabloid The Sun, Katie wrote: "My friend Dean Gaffney texting me to say he is getting better after head injury in a car accident. I was so relieved to hear that, Dean. wish you recover soon and get better."

Dean was not wearing a seat belt and hit his head hard on the steering wheel, which earned him a large wound on his forehead and had to be stitched by a doctor.

Now he is showing off his scar and revealed that he felt optimistic about their career prospects, because such injuries can help her get the role.

The actor, who had previously applied for a job at MI5, told The Sun, "People kept saying, 'All right, you can play the character of a villain. I want to be 007 but now I have a better chance to become a villain Bond."
